Accreditation and certification programs in health care are used internationally to ensure, regulate and drive quality improvement and safety initiatives. One of these programs is the ISO BS EN 15224 from the ISO Swiss International, which is an implementing European standard for Quality Management Systems in Healthcare Services. Considered as specialized ISO 9001:2015 for Healthcare, it also serves as the primary goal for a patient’s safety and enhancement in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
This pre-audit held last October 25-26, 2018 paves another way for St. Cabrini Medical Center as a NABH accredited hospital, in broadening its benchmark of excellence and advancing its capacity to provide quality of care, patient safety, and good clinical outcomes.
