In observance of World Kidney Day, St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center conducted a worthwhile lecture at the hospital's Cancer Institute Waiting Area, March 14.

The event, themed "Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere" commenced from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and was participated by SFCMC’s cancer patients. It started with opening remarks from Ms. Kris Dolayan, resident Training and Development Officer, followed by Ms. Frances Rica Antonio's introduction of the speaker, Dra. Cristina Erika Basilan. Dra. Basilan gave fruitful insights about the causes, functions, and importance of one's kidneys. She also tackled the symptoms of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and the treatment options readily available at the hospital.

Diet counseling from our clinical dietitians and Abbott Nutrition's Ms. Jill Santos tips on proper nutrition concluded the event. Free urinalysis and snacks were also given to the participants, thereafter.
