After its service discontinuation during the COVID 19 pandemic, St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center’s (SFCMC) Sleep Medicine reintroduced Level 3 Sleep Study to the public, February 21.
Level 3 Sleep Study involves Home Sleep Apnea Test (HSAT) which can be done in the comfort of a person’s home, typically focusing on diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a common sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing during sleep.
The service was established in 2018 together with Level 1, and offered services including Sleep Diagnostic, Sleep Therapeutic, Split Night/Combined, and Multiple Sleep Latency.
Aside from Sleep studies, SFCMC is eyeing to open its doors to offering Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) this year.
SFCMC’s Sleep Medicine is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of sleep disorders.
