St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (SFCMC), in coordination with the Community Auxiliary in Response for Emergency (CARE), Inc., held a two-day Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) training on October 10 and 11, 2024, at the Lyceum of the Philippines University – St. Cabrini (LPU-SC) campus.
The training covered critical areas such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation, and airway management, ensuring participants gained comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in managing cardiac emergencies.
Healthcare professionals from different departments participated in the sessions, refining their skills and learning how to effectively work as a team during high-pressure situations. Joining them was Dr. Florentino T. Afable, Vice President of SFCMC.
By undergoing ACLS and BLS training, SFCMC staff are now better prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to cardiac emergencies, ensuring a higher standard of patient care. The program not only reinforced the hospital’s commitment to continuous professional development but also aligned with its goal of maintaining excellence in emergency healthcare services.
CARE, Inc., a trusted organization in emergency response training, ensured that the sessions were in line with the latest guidelines and protocols. Their expertise provided the participants with up-to-date techniques and practices crucial in saving lives.
This initiative is part of SFCMC’s broader effort to equip its healthcare team with the necessary tools and knowledge to respond to critical situations, further strengthening the hospital’s reputation as a leader in patient care and safety.
