St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (SFCMC) conformed with the new PhilHealth Z-Benefit coverage for breast cancer at their third anniversary forum, titled “Breast Cancer and New Enhancement of the Z-Benefits Package,” Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Dr. Malen M. Gellido, SFCMC’s Medical Director, made the announcement and also discussed the definition, statistics, and treatment of breast cancer.

“Ngayon lang nag-increase ang PhilHealth sa halaga ng package,” Dr. Gellido said regarding the enhanced package, which now covers up to more than 1.4 million pesos.

Barangay health workers from Sto. Tomas City participated in the discussion, representing the frontline of healthcare at the grassroots level.

SFCMC has been an accredited Z-Benefit provider for breast cancer by PhilHealth since 2016 and is the only private hospital in the region with this accreditation.
