In celebration of World Cancer Day, St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (SFCMC) organized a lay fora at the LPU-St. Cabrini School of Health Sciences, Inc. auditorium, February 27.

A discussion on cancer prevention and screening led by Dr. Malen M. Gellido, General Surgeon, Surgical Oncologist, Head of Cancer Institute Department, and incumbent Medical Director of SFCMC, served as the highlight of the program.

Barangay health workers from the Municipality of Talisay, Los Baños in Laguna, and the City of San Pablo actively participated in the event.

In 2008, SFCMC first opened its doors as a cancer center, marking a pivotal moment in the hospital’s resolve to combating the complexities of cancer.
