The St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (SFCMC) reached a new milestone as they officially opened their newest Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), October 27, 2023.
A holy mass and ribbon cutting ceremony led by Mrs. Sonia Torres-Aquino, Mr. Felcaster D. Torres, Mrs. Nila Torres-Rafer, and Nora A. Torres, served as the highlight of the event.
The launching was also attended by SFCMC’s different stakeholders including the department heads and team leaders.
SFCMC’s Cath Lab caters to different specializations including Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Electrophysiology, and Interventional Radiology.
With a focus on Interventional Cardiology, Cath lab conducts minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases, headed by Dr. Richardson Lorilla, Internal Medicine-Cardiology.
Cath Lab’s Cardiac Electrophysiology Studies is handled by Dr. Carlos Delas Llagas, Internal Medicine-Cardiology, where the heart’s electrical system is evaluated to identify and treat abnormal heart rhythms
The laboratory’s Interventional Radiology is headed by Dr. Abigail Milo, Interventional Radiologist, and uses minimally invasive procedures guided by imaging techniques to diagnose and treat various conditions throughout the body.
