In celebration of Nutrition Month and their upcoming 26th foundation anniversary, St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (SFCMC) conducted a lay forum entitled “Transform Bakuran Into Healthy Gulayan” on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

The Sto. Tomas City Government Assistant Agriculturist, Ms. Melanie B. Cortez, served as the resource speaker for the seminar, tackling various topics, from the history of agriculture to modern farming methods.

Barangay Health Workers (BHW) from Talisay and San Pablo City actively participated in the two-hour event and received seedlings to start their own organic gardens.

The discussion was organized by SFCMC’s Marketing Department together with the Clinical Nutrition Unit, and is one of the other upcoming forums for the month of July.
